We’re excited to be participating in the fifth annual Local Yarn Store Day on Saturday, April 30th - TOMORROW from 10 am until 5 pm! LYS Day is a wonderful way for customers to show the love for their local yarn shops and for yarn shops to thank their customers for their continued support. Get in on the fun and make LYS Day 2022 an event to remember!

There will refreshments, coffee and tea. This event will be indoors but you can bring a chair and sit out back to social knit together too. Paulette will doing spinning and weaving demonstrations as well throughout the day!

WIPs and FOs

I finished and blocked my Hello from my Colours Crop by Jessie Maed Designs! The only thing I still need to do is to finish weaving in the ends.

Last week, I thought I would use a mini ball of Katia United Sock to blend in on my sleeves but the white and off-white were both too stark compared to the creaminess of the SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Natural. It took all of the 6g that I had left to lengthen sleeve 1 by the 9 rounds of rounds 1-9 of the Classic Length Body Chart and knit the ribbing. Jen had 8.5g of the TLS in Natural which I used for sleeve 2!

I love how it turned out!

Here is a close up of my Coterie Shawl WIP so far. This shawl is knit width-wise so I have 375 stitches on my needles. The lace repeat is 16 stitches so it is easily memorized.

KNIT GROUP AND GALLERY

The current Knit-Alongs are the Any Sweater / Shawl KAL and the Knit Any Project: our everlasting knit-along to encourage and support you to knit which is running from January 1 to April 30, 2022. Tomorrow is the last day!

Remember to post photos to the finished object (FO) thread when you finish a project during the Knit-Along so that you will be included in the draw!

Mirna brought her finished Lin by Martin Storey from Rowan Magazine 69, knit using Rowan Softyak DK.

Mirna knit this pair of vegan My Fair Feet by Virginia Sattler-Reimer using Hikoo Cobasi!

Mirna also finished this pretty pair of Morwenstowe by Sonia Bargiekowska for Blacker Yarns. Yarn is Koigu Collector’s Club KPPPM in Macarons colour.

Patti (@patnelann) finished this cabled open cardigan for herself! Pattern is Wethersfield by Cecily Glowik MacDonald. Yarn is Cascade 220 Heathers.
