It has been another year!! It was 7 years ago on November 4th that I opened my doors with my heartfelt thanks to you!!

REMINDER that CLASSES are up on the website! Saturday classes start on Saturday, November 12 so act fast! Materials for all projects are available at the shop and can be purchased before class. Come just a bit early so you have time to check out all the colours and give all the yarn a squeeze.

Classes are up on the website! There are a few more that be added soon!

The minimum registration for our classes is four students and maximum is 6 people for most workshops. Full refunds will be issued if the class is cancelled or if you withdraw at least five days prior to the start date. Crystal Fantasy by Joji Locatelli is the second shawl she designed to celebrate the Barcelona Knits Festival.

Crystal Fantasy by Joji Locatelli is the second shawl she designed to celebrate the Barcelona Knits Festival. It is 25% off until Sunday, November 6th st midnight.

Crystal Fantasy is a shawl with a geometric, almost crystal like shape, with diamonds and ridges, to capture this effect. This wrap is worked from both ends towards the middle, so for most of it you will have to work 2 identical pieces, until you join everything together at the centre.

It uses two types of yarn: a single ply merino and a fuzzy blend of alpaca and silk in the same colorway.

Finished Measurements
Approx. 76½“ 191 cm long and 18” 45.5 cm wide (after blocking).

Materials
Yarn 1: 1 skeins or approx. 400 yards of fingering weight yarn.
Yarn 2: 1 skein or approx 328 yards 300m of fuzzy fingering weight yarn.
Attention: I used the full amount of yarn listed in the requirements, with very little to spare. If you tend to run out of yarn for some projects, you may want to use a slightly smaller needle.
Needles: US 6 4 mm needles.
Other notions: 3 stitch holders, stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.

Gauge
18 sts and 28 rows to 4” 10 cm using US 6 4 mm needles, in stockinette stitch (after blocking).

Suggested Yarn: Leo & Roxy MCS Sock and Mohair Silk or Lichen and Lace 80/20 Sock and Marsh Mohair

Young Gnewt is taking over the organization of the Longest Gnight gift exchange this year.  This is an event that all the gnomes are anticipating, since all the gifts are handmade and show great creativity! Gnova has just moved to the Grimblewoods and is worried about making friends. This is Gnova's first chance to participate - with Gnewt in charge, what could possibly go wrong?

Join in and knit yours with yarn stash or order a kit from Ancient Arts Yarn. I have a limited number of kits arriving soon for you to order with plenty of time before the MKAL starts. Order them HERE.

Some energetic Gnomes might make a lovely wreath out of the bounty they find in THE GRIMBLEWOODS, using the colours Frolic, Enchanted Forest, Chili Pepper Chocolate, Abyssinian Cat and Spring Leaf.

I finally finished spinning, plying and steam setting more hand spun Ashford Montage for my The Easy V!

I finally finished spinning, plying and steam setting more hand spun Ashford Montage for my The Easy V by Caitlin Hunter! What a difference in the before on the left and the after on the right.

I could have started the ribbing on the bottom edge but I decided to tackle the sleeves first. I want to be able to use the same spin for goth sleeves.

I haven't been able to work (knit) on this for a couple of weeks while I got more fibre spun. Now that I can, I could have started the ribbing on the bottom edge with this new cake but I decided to tackle the sleeves first. I want to be able to use the same spin for both sleeves since I know that I will need to spin more for the ribbing. I have sleeve 1 on hold after round 18 on the sleeve chart while I work on sleeve 2 because I am not at all sure if I have enough of my hand spun CC2. If I don't I will start the sleeve ribbing for 3/4 sleeves.

I really don’t knit a lot of socks but I have two on my needles! My Lonely Forest are now 7.5 inches long…one more repeat before I start the heel.
