It is Good Friday and a holiday...Since I wasn't planning on being away this weekend, I am open this weekend! I am really hoping for some spring weather to enjoy.
Sunburnt by Nidhi Kansal is a quick and light knit, this crescent shaped shawlette has a lacy edge and is worked from the bottom up.
Blocked Measurements: Length between tips: 50” (125cm), depth: 12” (30cm)
Yarn: 2 skeins of Garnstudio DROPS Alpaca (183 yds/167m, 100% alpaca, 50 gms) or approx. 350 yds/320m in sport weight. Shown here in colorway 2020 Light Camel.
Notions: Use markers or a lifeline for the lace part, if required.
Gauge: 16 sts and 32 rows = 4” (10cm) in st st after blocking.
Blu by Cristina Bernardi Shiffman and Kay Gardiner of Mason Dixon Knitting are unisex baby jeans that knit up quickly and boy are they cute. They are as comfy as PJs and will get more faded and jean-like with every trip through the washer and dryer if they are knit using Rowan Original Denim. The pattern includes an extra 15% to the length to account for the shrinkage of this yarn so if you plan to use a different dk weight yarn, you will need to subtract it from the length of the legs.
The jeans are constructed of two mirror-image pieces, one for each leg, joined in the center. The cuffs are knitted in a lighter shade of true denim yarn to mimic the wrong side of denim twill fabric. The inseams, sewn in orange cotton yarn, use a flat, overlapping seam for a realistic look. The seat shaping lends authentic cowpoke chic (and makes room for the cowpoke’s diaper). Faux side seams give you a chance to try Elizabeth Zimmerman’s ingenious ‘phony seam’ technique, which prevents the legs from twisting with wear. Easy embroidery recalls riveted pockets.
You will need 309 - 412 yards (283 - 377 m) of yarn and 4.0 mm (US 6) needles for a gauge of 20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

My On the Spice Market shawl by Melanie Berg...Love the bright and happy SweetGeorgia Party of Five Jelly Bean colours and they look in this shawl.
I didn't get as much knitting done on my shawl as I might have because I thought - it's Easter this weekend and I should knit another bunny! I started another bunny, got the head finished with the body knit but that is as far as I got lol! I decided that I really didn't need to rush:) I have another grandson on the way but he isn't due until the end of June so I still have lots of time.
