Christmas is coming faster than we thought possible! We think we still have lots of time and then we get a little frantic and stressing about gifts to buy or make but there IS still time to make those last minute gifts!
Jean is pictured here wearing the Textured Yoke Turtleneck designed by Norah Gaughan that is shown on the cover of Vogue Knitting's Early Fall 2018 magazine. She knit hers up as soon as she saw the pattern in a similar colour! Stunning and fabulous!
PATTERNS
The Crown Hat by Hanna Maciejewska is a unisex, slouchy style hat with textured brim is a free pattern designed to fit an average adult head.
The hat takes 190 - 200 yards (174 - 183 m) of DK weight yarn, 3.5 mm (US 4) and 4 mm (US 6) needles for a gauge of 22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in reverse stocking stitch.
Apple Pie by tincanknits is a paid hat pattern that includes baby sizes up to an adult large. It features all over cables and the pattern includes a tutorial and schematics. It was designed to use one skein for all except the largest size of SweetGeorgia Superwash Worsted yarn but you can use any worsted weight yarn. You will need 4 mm (US 6) and 5 mm (US 8) needles or the size to get a gauge of 18 sts and 24 rounds per 4” in stockinette and 24 sts and 24 rounds per 4” in apple pie stitch using the larger needles.
Callie by the Berroco Design Team - knit using Berroco Brielle a gorgeous yarn with a soft halo from the alpaca content combined with a hint of shimmer. Callie is a simple pullover pattern knit from the bottom up topped with a deep, cozy funnel neck. You will need 5 mm (US 8) needles to get a gauge of 16 stitches and 25 rows = 4 inches in stocking stitch.
WIP's and FO's
My finished Follow your Dreams fingerless mitts knit with Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply Jumper Weight yarn. The kits I made up for the yarn crawl are all gone...I'll make up more if I get the chance!
Sammy - another Boy Bunny with a piebald patch by Julie Williams of Little Cotton Rabbits is off my needles! I gave him a belly button like I did on my other bunnies - originally because my grandson at three asked where his belly button was! I also gave him a tweedy aran sweater.
Chevron Cloud by Espace Tricot is on my needles using Drops Kid Silk and Hikoo Rylie.
Many of you know that I had to put my Ninilchik Swoncho on hold...because I forgot to remove from inventory what I would need! Re-stocked Rowan Felted Tweed DK plus some new colours.
