Bulkylopi is as the name suggests a bulky weight yarn. It is made from six strands of unspun lopi slightly twisted together by machine. Thicker than Álafosslopi, Bulkylopi garments and accessories knit up very quickly. Clothes knitted from it are thick and warm yet lightweight and breathable, and naturally water repellent. Finished items rarely require cleaning other than the first wash to soften the fibers - from then on a thorough airing out is often enough.
