VERONA is a four-ply twisted SUPERLIGHT Fingering yarn made of 50 % superfine merino wool with 18.5 microns, 30 % silk and 20% cashmere. The carded yarn with a meterage of 180 m on only 25 g (197 yd. on only 0.88 oz.) gets its unique lightness through an innovative manufacturing method by which the temperature-regulating and breathable properties are supported positively. The combination of merino superfine, silk and cashmere results in a silky and extraordinarily soft grip and give the yarn its noble, subtly shimmering surface with a fine mélange look.
The mulesing-free raw merino wool for MODENA is sourced from selected Australian shepherds, the cashmere raw from Mongolia and China The raw wool used is certified regarding animal welfare, sustainability, and social responsibility. The mulberry silk used comes from China. We have it spun and dyed according to the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 for baby products by a family-run traditional company in Italy.
VERONA is a yarn with an exceptionally luxurious feel for the whole year. It feels wonderfully soft on the skin and is therefore particularly suitable for fine scarves and stoles and gives garments an incomparable lightness and a gently flowing fall.
Care: VERONA can be washed in the wool cycle in the washing machine. We recommend the use of a neutral, mild wool detergent without enzymes and plasticizers, in very low doses. Then dry the knitted piece gently lying flat and avoid direct sunlight.
