Happy Easter Weekend! Today, the sun was shining but it was not really warm out so my fingers are crossed that we will have wonderful weather for the weekend to enjoy.

It might not be consistently warm out yet but we should be starting to think warm weather knits!

The Salty Air Tee by Samantha Guerin (@samantha_guerin_design) was designed with easy breezy summer moments in mind.

The Salty Air Tee by Samantha Guerin (@samantha_guerin_design) was designed with easy breezy summer moments in mind. Simple construction, a delicate lace yoke and a style that’s easily modified to wear just the way you like it.

When knit to a cropped length, Salty Air pairs beautifully with skirts, dresses and high waisted pants. Or you can add some length to the body and style it with shorts, jeans or just about anything!

Construction

The Salty Air Tee is knit seamlessly from the top down. The neckline is cast on and short rows are worked to raise the back of the neck for a comfortable fit. The yoke lace is knit, then the body and sleeves are separated and worked from the top down.

Selecting A Size

The Salty Air Tee is intended to be worn with 2-4” / 5-10 cm of positive ease. Select a size 2-4” / 5-10 cm larger than your bust circumference. Measurements below are for the finished sweater.

Finished Bust Circumference

Yarn

640 (690, 780, 850) 950, 1100, 1190 {1240, 1330} yds of a fingering weight yarn

KNIT, PURL CRUISE

The last time that I spoke to Michelle Matthews of Expedia Cruises about the Knit, Purl, Cruise they have organized for May 2026, there are still a few people looking for someone to double up with. Other than those spots, I am not sure if there is any more availability. We have 14 confirmed and a couple unconfirmed in our Sue2Knits group to date.

  • 2 for inside rooms - 1 with perks and 1 without
  • 1 for an outside room with perks
  • 1 for a balcony room with perks

Knit Purk Cruise

The itinerary is awesome. They have 2 confirmed teachers joining us on the cruise! There will be a visit to Stephen and Penelope's which seems to be the choice of store in Amsterdam. There will be an overnight in Glasgow with a stop in Cork Ireland visiting the Blarney Woolen Mills. There will be planned additional group excursions to a wool farm and yarn stores in the Shetland Islands.

They will be doing a full schedule closer to the sailing date but will be offering the following (and more!)...

- Knit-a-long sessions
- Tutorials with knitting teachers during the sea days.
- Custom excursions to famous and popular yarn stores in the British Isles and Rotterdam
- Museum tours in the Shetland Islands.
- Knitting kit and Swag bag

Please let them know that you were referred by Sue2Knits when booking your spot.

Happy Wednesday, Happy Knitting, Crocheting and Crafting!
