This is a busy time of year for most of us and with only 11 days to go...11 days of gift knitting! How many days are left to buy that special gift for the knitter in your life or for yourself!
Do you want to knit a pair of Christmassy socks? ChristmasSoxx 2023 by Kerstin Balke - Stine & Stitch are just what you are looking for! These is her third year with a Christmas Sock pattern using Jawoll Superwash 75/25.

Uppsala Slippers by Ram Wools Yarn Co-op is a pattern for a slipper with a contrasting cuff and a stranded top of foot and coordinating pattern on bottom of foot. There are four size options ranging from Length 7.5”, Width 8.5” to Length 10.25”, Width 10” included. One skein each of Main Color and Contrast Color are needed in an aran weight yarn. The gauge is 24 stitches = 4 inches in stranded stockinette stitch using 3.75 mm (US 5) needles.
Fair Isle Slippers by Bernat Design Studio is another beautiful slipper pattern with a holiday appropriate snowflake motif on them! It is also knit with an aran weight yarn with a gauge of 20 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch using 4.0 mm (US 6) needles. The pattern includes sizing for a child, a woman and a man.
These are slippers that I've seen on Pinterest but the photo doesn't include any links to a pattern. I think they are great - fun and practical! It shouldn't be too difficult to adapt one of the patterns to use a different motif!
HusainM knit the Basic Slippers by Arne & Carlos using the chart from Turkish Pattern Mittens that she found on Pinterest. Her notes can be found HERE.

Suggested Yarn for all of the above - Cascade 220 Heathers, Istex Lettlopi
Here is Tied Knots by Justyna Lorkowska a lovely hat with meandering cables that is a Free Ravelry Download. The hat needs 210 - 219 yards (192 - 200 m) of DK weight yarn, 3.25 mm (US 3) and 4.0 mm (US 6) needles or the needles to get a gauge of 28 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in cable pattern worked in the round.
Suggested Yarn - Malabrigo Rios, Madelinetosh Tosh DK or Garnstudio Drops Merino Extra Fine
WIPs and FOs
I finished the chart rows last Friday and started the stockinette section on the beautiful Secret Garden Sweater by Elena Mortensen!
I knit 11 rounds of stockinette before starting the twisted rib hem using 2.5 mm needles. Remember, I always go down needle sizes from the suggested pattern needle sizes because I am such a loose knitter. For the body and colourwork, I used 2.75 mm needles.
