The Ghost Knitter's Shawl by Ambah O'Brien is a deep triangular shawl edged with delicate lace featuring a skull motif that is perfect for Halloween, autumn and beyond.

The Ghost Knitter's Shawl by Ambah O'Brien is a deep triangular shawl edged with delicate lace featuring a skull motif that is perfect for Halloween, autumn and beyond. It is fun to knit with an easy-to-wear shape that can be styled a number of ways. Worked top-down, the shawl begins with a garter stitch section that can be worked as stripes. Or you may choose to omit the stripes and work yours in a gradient, either a single skein or fading mini skeins which then flow into the ghost lace.

The pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the lace section.

Dimensions
Wingspan: 90”/225 cm
Depth: 27”/67.5 cm
Measurements taken after blocking.

Yarn
Fingering weight/light sport weight
Stripe (Gradient) Version
C1: 650 (850) yd/595 (778) m
C2: 200 (NA) yd/183 (NA) m

FOs and WIPs

In the end, I didn’t like the double knit front bands that I knit with the 3 mm needles so I frogged it back and reknit them using 3.75 mm needles.

Last week, I said I did not like the gauge on my double knit bands using the 3.0 mm instead of the 4.0 mm and was thinking of changing my needle tips and the double pointed needle that I was using to 3.5 mm and to start frogging back at least to the last button holes.

In the end, I frogged the bands back all the way to the start of the first buttonhole and re-knit them using 3.75 mm needles. The gauge looks so much better this way with the stitches closer to the body gauge and not smaller than the ribbing gauge.

My fro t bands are finished! I just need to sew in all of ends and decide on buttons s.

The front bands on my second Step by Step Cardigan by Florence Miller are finished now! I just need to sew in all of ends, decide what buttons to use and to block iy.

I used less than 2.5 balls of the Noro Kompeito so I could have easily knit the ribbing and pockets longer before binding off and knitting the front bands. I used about 85g of mohair.
