This kit is perfect to make the beautiful nightshift shawl by Andrea Mowry. It includes 2 balls of Noro Enka.

  • 50% Cotton, 20% Silk, 15% Wool, 15% Nylon/Polyamide
  • DK weight, single ply, self-striping
  • 550 yards (503 meters) per 200 grams (7.05 ounces)
  • Gentle, cold hand wash only, dry flat

Enka is the old Japanese word for 'Fireworks', which is appropriate for this yarn, as sections transform in bursts of different colourways! Loosely plied colors masterfully fade from one tonal shade to the next so let the yarn do the work with very few ends to weave in! The pattern includes a recipe, to make it all your own, or row by row directions for those who want to play it safe! Using the Noro Enka, change yarns A & B every 20 rows. After 20 rows of work, Yarn A became Yarn B, and vice versa. This makes it possible to complete the shawl with only 2 balls, and it varied the colours to better capture the design’s intention.

Pattern and needles are not included.
