Rushing Tide Shawl

A simple zig zag lace pattern mimics the lapping of waves back and forth. Easy to memorize, the Rushing Tide Shawl is knit from the top down in our soft and cozy cashmere-blend sock yarn.

The Rushing Tide Shawl features a lovely allover lace pattern that meanders back and forth in bands across the shawl.

Half-pi shawls require increases at just a few points in the shawl. The rest is straight knitting. Easy! And each row of the lace pattern increments in a way that is easy to remember, and there are “resting rows” to help speed along your knitting.

• yarn: 1 skein SweetGeorgia Yarns CashLuxe Fine in Spruce (400 yds / 365 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 70% Superwash Merino, 20% Cashmere, 10% Nylon)
• needles: Size 6 US / 4.0 mm circular needles, 32″ / 80 cm long
  Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
• gauge: 20 sts and 26 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st after blocking
  To save time and ensure accurate sizing, check gauge.
• finished measurements: Wingspan/width 48”, Length 24"
