Friday, August 12, 2022, Issue 260: Lazy summer days...Happy Friday!

Can you believe that it is almost the middle of August? September is coming up fast and there are 19 weeks until Christmas...Are you thinking about fall projects yet or have you already cast on your gift knitting?

It isn't a secret but I adore stranded knitting but along with all of the other knitting techniques and patterns that I love, I always wish for more time so that I can knit everything I want to make!

The High Peak Sweater by Liv Ulven popped up in my feed today! An introductory 20% discount using the code HIGHPEAKRELEASE on Ravelry until Sunday, July 14th at 23:30 CEST.

The High Peak Sweater is a stranded colourwork yoke sweater knit from the top down in the round.

The High Peak Sweater is a stranded colourwork yoke sweater knit from the top down in the round. First the neck is cast on and worked in simple 1x1 rib and shaped by short rows. The increases are worked first in main colour and subsequently in pattern. The colourwork starts on the yoke and is continued on body and sleeves. The rib on the cuffs and hem is finished with a simple bind-off. HIGH PEAK SWEATER features colourwork detail with stylised mountain peaks and suns.

Please choose a size 10-25 cm (4-10 inches) larger than your actual chest circumference. For reference: the sample in the photos is in size 2 with 11 cm positive ease.

The Marjolaine Sweater by Elenor Mortensen caught my eye!

The Marjolaine Sweater by Elenor Mortensen also caught my eye this week! The Marjolaine Sweater is knitted seamlessly from the top down. The neckline is shaped with short rows, the yoke is knitted in the Fairisle pattern.

The Lovebirds Sweater by Kate Oates has been on my radar since my sister knit it.

A little birdie told me…that you need him on a sweater with his true love! This array of geometric colourwork is worked seamlessly from the top down with yoked increases and short row shaping both at the shoulders and the bottom. The gentle A-line shape of the body combined with extra length at the hem complements curvy and straight body types alike. Options are provided for two different Body and Sleeve styles: classic stockinette or a simple cable along with short or long Sleeve lengths. Instructions are provided to work Body inside out for less purling, if desired. Shown in Size M with 1.5” (4 cm) positive ease; 1-4” (2.5-10 cm) ease is recommended. Colourwork is charted. Because a few rounds feature longer floats, this pattern is recommended for knitters with prior stranded colourwork experience.

Hi Susie, i don't have the pattern or the pattern book Ravish Capsule Collection No. 10. If you send me a pic of that page of the pattern to my email, maybe I can see if I can help.

Hello, not sure if you are able to help me but I am having problems with the Alicia pattern by Kim Hargreaves . I have tried looking on Ravelry but no luck. More specifically I am having a hard time understanding the instructions right after finishing the rows that make up the pattern for the back of the sweater. Thank you!
