I hope that you have been enjoying summer despite the mixed bag of weather! The next few days are supposed to be a little cooler and hopefully dry!

Have you started your fall knitting? I know I have with my new Aallokko Sweater which will hopefully be released soon and my almost finished Serkinet!

PetiteKnit's Cumulus O-neck is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch with two strands of thin mohair/silk yarn held together throughout. The design has a round neckline. All edges are finished with i-cord.

The Cumulus Blouse O-neck is designed to have approx. 10-15 cm [4-6 inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 10-15 cm [4-6 inches] larger in circumference than your bust measurement.

Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL

Bust circumference: 96 (102) 109 (116) 126 (136) 140 (149) 156 cm [37¾ (40¼) 43 (45¾) 49½ (53½) 55 (58¾) 61½ inches]

Gauge: 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm [US7] needles after blocking

Needles: Circular needles: 4.5 mm [US7] / 60 and 80 and/or 100 cm 24 and 32 and/or 40 inches, 4 mm [US6] / 60 cm \24 inches]; Double-pointed needles: 4.5 mm [US7]

Materials: 150-175 (175) 200 (200) 225 (225) 250 (250) 275 g of a mohair silk such as Garnstudio Drops Kid Silk (25 g = 210 m [230 yds]). Note: Two strand of yarn are held together throughout. The given yardage amounts are the total yardage needed.

If the O-neck isn't to your personal liking, PetiteKnit’s Cumulus Blouse is similar but has a deep rounded V-neck. All edges are finished with i-cord.

I have purchased many of Joji's patterns that I haven't knit yet. I had trouble deciding between her Elton Pullover and her Lace & Fade Boxy! I have both patterns in my Ravelry library. What would you have chosen?

WIPs and FOs

The ears are now attached to the Some BUNNY loves you bonnet by SimplySycamore to go with the Back Flap Sleeper that I finished last week. Aren't they adorable together?

Next, I plan to knit the Open Back Ballerina Onesie by SimplySycamore and the Ruffle Bonnet by Cassandra May using Garnstudio Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk in Powder Pink inspired by the sweetest ballerina set knit by Mgarofalo1991 on Ravelry and Instagram (shown above). 

I took this progress shot of my Sunshine Coast by Heidi Kirrmaier on Wednesday after I bound off the bottom. I can't wait to be able to wear this summer tee that I should be able to wear comfortably into the fall!

I almost have the first sleeve finished…13 rounds to go! This has been a lot of knitting but like my first Sunshine Coast will be well worth the effort. I can't wait to see finished photos from the class we had for this sweater!

I looked through my stash of leftover yarn from my projects. This is what I’ll use for my Alpine Bloom Hat by Caitlin Hunter. On the left is 56g of The Fibre Co. Amble in Catbells leftover from my Lonely Forest Socks by Caitllin Hunter. On the left is 27g of Malabrigo Arroyo in Marte leftover from my Swirl Skirt by AnneLena Mattison.

These two Sheep Carousels by Kate Davies Designs aren’t finished yet for our #sue2knitskatedavieskal. The top is knit by Nicole (niknboj) and the bottom by Sandi (sandima). They both used Jamieson & Smith 2 Ply Jumper Weight.

Vicki (@thesimisons) finished the Gramps by @tincanknits that she knit for our First Cardigan Class plus another one, both for the grandsons!

Sandi (sandima) finished ten of these Headbands that she was test knitting. She held Garnstudio Drops Kid Silk double with a variety of different yarns.

Arlette (arlumizu) finished this Hannah Newsboy Hat by Lux Adorna Knits.

Jocelyne (jocblais) joined in the Westknits Surprise Sock Along 2023 and knit this pair of Contrast Blast Socks.
