Monday, we will be moving to the Grey-Lockdown level. That means you will not be allowed to come in the shop. We will go back to curb side pickup.
The shop will be completing all business on a non-face-to-face basis…
Everything is available online so if you need yarn, needles, books or anything else, you can shop online and we can carry it out to your car for you. If there is a Ravelry pattern you want that isn't listed online, it can be added and printed for you, just let us know.
If you prefer or need help with your orders, give me a call at 519-726-4226 and we can help! I am not very good at using Facetime or Facebook Messenger video calls but we can do that too so that you can still see colours and suggestions!
Christmas 2020 is going to be very different one! If you do a search on Ravelry for Christmas, 499 pages pop up unless you narrow down your search!
Just before December Connie (knitnut246) told about Arne & Carlos's Sit and Knit A Bit Christmas Countdown with a pattern for 24 (new) Christmas Balls which you can buy HERE! for $8 usd They already have a book of 55 Christmas Balls to Knit which celebrates its 10 year anniversary.
I have watched up until the podcast from December 8th!
I have enjoyed watching especially since they are relatively short! These are 5-10 minutes in length so while I enjoy a lot of podcasts, I don't have the time to watch!
The one I chose to knit first from the 24 new Christmas balls by Arne & Carlos is Old Fashioned from December 2nd. Now I have three knit Christmas Balls on my tree!
Tiny Sweaters by Malia Mae is a free Ravelry download for great little Christmas ornaments that are quick to knit!
The Christmas Balls and the Tiny Sweaters ornaments aree knit using DK weight yarn. Suggested yarns are Bergere de France Ideal, Berroco Vintage DK or for a rustic look Rowan Felted Tweed.
Wouldn’t this Fox Hat with ear flaps and a crocheted edge by Drops Design make an awesome Christmas gift! It is a quick knit using Drops Andes, a super bulky yarn, 8 mm (US 11) needles and a 7 mm crochet hook!
The Suffolk by Jo Storie is a snug fit cabled beanie with a ribbed double cuff hem knit on big needles for a quick knit! Knit it in Drops Andes or Malabrigo Rasta.
This beautiful display for the new Katia United Socks arrived on Wednesday! There are 24 colours in a 25g format of 109 yards (100m) for $3.95 a ball! Great for the heels and toes of socks or when smaleer amounts of fingering weight yarn is needed.
A big shipment arrived of Koigu including Mori Pencil Boxes (Merino/Silk blend mini skeins), Sparkle Pencil Boxes (Merino/Lurex mini skeins) and regular Pencil Boxes (Merino)!
WIP's and FO's
I am ready to separate the yoke and the sleeves on my Stripes! By Andrea Mowry! I haven't had a huge amount of time to work on this especially with all of the little WIP projects I have on the go!
I am on the third colour of 25 on my ADVENTuresome Wrap by Ambah O’Brien where I am using a Koigu Advent Kit in Mica.
