The Temperance Shawl by Malabrigo uses one skein each of 3 colours of Malabrigo Sock or Mechita and 4 mm (US 4) needles. The gauge is 24 stitches and 46 rows = 4 inches over garter stitch measured BEFORE blocking. The finished shawl has a wingspan of 90 inches and a depth of 24 inches.

Painting Honeycombs Blanket by Stephen West uses a slip stitch technique which is very easy to knit and includes the small baby blanket size or a large blanket for your couch.

Painting Honeycombs Blanket by Stephen West uses a slip stitch technique which is very easy to knit and includes the small baby blanket size or a large blanket for your couch.

The slip stitch technique used means that there aren’t the usual colourwork floats on the back of the Painting Honeycombs Blanket by Stephen West.

One color of DK weight yarn frames several color pops. The baby blanket features five color pops and the large size features eight color pops. The slip stitch technique is very easy to knit, making this blanket suitable for an adventurous beginner project. The slip stitch technique used also means that there aren’t the usual colourwork floats on the back of the blanket. Choose your colors and knit the blanket as big as you want!

The Small size (42 inches by 34 inches) is perfect for a baby blanket.
The Large size (77 inches by 65 inches) is ideal for a big lap blanket or a throw for your couch.

The gauge 18 sts & 25 rows = 4” / 10cm in honeycomb pattern after blocking using DK weight yarn and 4.5 mm (US 7) needles or as required to get gauge.

Knit it using Berroco Vintage DK, Bergere de France Ideal. or Rowan Summerlite DK if you want a non-wool blanket.

I saw this stunning Holly Sweater by Hanne Rimmen knit using Garnstudio Drops Air by @orsaknits on Instagram today!

The body and sleeves are knit separately from the bottom up in the round and then joined at the yoke with the beautiful pattern. German short rows are used for a better fit at the back of the neck. Choices include waist shaping in the body, and a low ribbed neckline or high ribbed turtleneck.

The gauge is 17 stitches and 23 rows = 4 inches using 4.5 mm (US 7) needles or as required to gett gauge. 4.0 mm (US 6) needles are used for the ribbing. Knit it in the suggested Istex Lettlopi yarn or in Garnstudio Drops Air for a fluffy and lofty sweater.

Progress in my Feel the Bern by Caitlin Hunter!

On Monday, I was finished the body of my Feel the Berm by Caitlin Hunter. I was trying to decide whether to follow the pattern and pick up the sleeves and then knit only 5 rounds of rib and casting off or too knit longer sleeves.

I thought that I would only knit both of my sleeves until I finished my C2. As you can see I started my ribbing using C1 but when I tried it on, I didn't like the length.

I ended up frogging the ribbing and knitting full length sleeves (75 rounds with 8 sets of decreases every 10 rounds starting on round 20)) and finishing with 14 rounds of ribbing in C1. I should be able to finish tonight!
