Friday, July 1, 2022, Issue 254: Happy Canada Day!!

Enjoy the moments this Canada Day weekend! It is hot, humid and it looks like it might storm...Were you out and about or did you stay inside where it was cool and knitting like me?

I can never finish all of the summer tops and tees that can be found on Ravelry! Summer tees are what I am itching to make to wear!

HØR no 14 by Lone Kjeldsen has maritime stripes that never go out of fashion!

HØR no 14 by Lone Kjeldsen has maritime stripes that never go out of fashion! It is knitted from top down in one piece seamlessly with shoulders that are both shaped and decorated with a series of decreases on each side of the neckline. The upper part of the back and front piece are knitted back and forth, and assembled, after which the body is knitted in the round and ending with an I-cord. Neckband and sleeve-edging are double i-cords separated by stockinette stitch.

Gloria finished this little baby sweater (zipper to be added) knit from a memorized pattern from Newfoundland.

She brought it for show and tell at the first meeting for The Essex County Library Knitters/Crocheters Group on June 27th (1-4pm). In July, the room is unavailable on the 11th or 25th so the meetings will be July 4th and 18th. Starting in August, the meetings will move back to the 2nd and 4th weeks.

A few people asked which branch of the Essex Library this group meets. We meet at the 35 Gosfield Townline West at the Essex branch.
