Winter knitting for me includes sweaters and cardigans...Cardigans like this one that Connie knit for her granddaughter using Malabrigo Arroyo in the Plomo colourway!

Connie used Andrea Mowry's Comfort Fade Cardi pattern to knit this No Fade Cardi brecause Ava wanted a plain one.

The Comfort Fade Connie knit for herself was finished last January...She knit it when she, Natalie and I did a KAL together to each make one.

Connie finished her Comfort Fade Cardi by Andrea Mowry! Yarn is Koigu Kersti

We each knit one using Koigu Kersti - Connie used the Olive Kit for hers. We knit ours as written with reverse stockinette for the right side while Connie chose to use the stockinette side as her right side.

My Comfort Fade Cardi was knit using the Koigu Kersti Purple pack

My Comfort Fade Cardi was knit using the Koigu Kersti Purple pack. Loved the pattern and as you can see from Connie's newest version, you can knit it using a single colour.

This open cardigan is super cozy with its garter shawl collar! The Reverse Stockinette makes a stunning canvas to fade on for the most unique cardigan in your wardrobe!! This is how Andrea describes the cardigan. It calls for DK weight in 4 colors to create a cohesive fade and is intended to be worn with with 2-4”/5-10 cm positive ease. The gauge is 21 sts & 32 rows = 4”/10 cm on 4.0 mm (US 6) needles while the ribbing is knit using 3.75 mm (US 5) needles. To save time and ensure accurate measurements, take time to check gauge.

Lunenburg Pullover Amy Christoffers is the type of top down stranded pullover I love to knit and wear on blustery, cold winter days.

I’d love to make a steeked cardigan version like tanyaev on Ravelry did!

For me though, I’d love to make a steeked cardigan version like tanyaev on Ravelry did! The pattern is designed and both of these are knit with Lichen and Lace Rustic Heather Sport.

Lunenburg Pullover is worked from the top down in the round with a ‘Bohus-ish’ stranded yoke. The fit on this garment is easily adapted to suit your taste- choose +/- ease to suit your style. Finished measurements are actual measurement around chest/hip after blocking. The length is slightly cropped- if you wish to add additional length to the body please plan your yarn purchases accordingly and be sure to have a little extra of your MC yarn.

The yoke pattern is charted and there is short row shaping after the color work.

The gauge is 24 sts and 32 rows = 4” in St st on 3.75 mm (US 5) needles. 3.25 mm (US 3) needles are used for the ribbing. To save time and ensure accurate measurements, take time to check gauge.

Soft Cuddles Baby Sweater from the Fraya website is a sweet baby sweater that is free!

Soft Cuddles Baby Sweater from the Fraya website is a sweet baby sweater that is free! This would make an awesome gift knit! It is marked as for an experienced knitter so it isn't for everyone but it is cute! It calls for fingering weight yarn knit using 3.0 mm (US 2.5) needles for the body and 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles for the rib or as required to get the gauge of 24 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

For this one, I knit the size 4-6 using the last of the Bergere de France Jaspee in the Pangolin colour. I have very little left of this yarn. For anyone wanting to knit it, you can use Estelle Worsted's Ragg colours or for a woolier version you can use Navia Sock.

A few more rows is all I need to finish the body! It is more than long enough so I am going to knit it shorter then onto the sleeves!

My Rug by Junko Okamoto is taking me longer than normal because I have had so many things on my needles! A few more rows is all I need to do to finish the body! It is more than long enough so I am going to knit it shorter than the pattern calls for and then onto the sleeves!
