Last week's crazy weather was not at all what I expected! Let's hope we have a great weekend ahead of us because I want to be able to sit back, relax and knit preferably out on my deck!

WIPs and FOs

I finished my Coterie Shawl by Jessica Ays! Did I not say that blocking will open up the lace like magic? Does the lace not look amazing?

The pattern was offered as a free with yarn purchase for Local Yarn Store Day (LSY Day) very generously by Jessica Ays of Double the Stitches Designs.

Did anyone sign up for her Coterie: Live! Live Zoom Events? You had to sign up in order to receive the zoom links. The Cast-On Party on Zoom happened on Saturday, May 14th at 8:00 p.m. EST but the second event hasn't happened yet!

I started my sample for the Olive Knits 4 Day Sailaway Cardigan KAL! I am a loose knitter so I cast on for my swatch of 36 rows on May 22nd using 3.5 mm needles. The gauge that I got was 23 stitches = 4 inches. For my cardigan, I cast on using 3.0 mm needles for my ribbing and 3.75 mm needles for the body.

Now I am on the second of three sections in the yoke! What do you think so far? I am knitting mine using Kelbourne Woolens Scout for the DK weight gauge. I chose Strawberry Heather as my main colour and Oatmeal Heather and Mulberry Heather for my contrast colours.

Elaine finished weaving this gorgeous houndstooth scarf that she started in her Weaving Workshop 2! She used Sandnes Garn Sisu for her warp and stash yarn for her warp.

Katherine has finished another tam! This one is Janine Bajus‘s Summer Lake Tam using Malabrigo Sock as the MC and Koigu KPM colours for the CC’s!

Debbie (@love.knit.spin.weave) finished this pair of socks for her husband while planes, trains and boats while in Europe.

Beverley finished these pretty, spring inspired pair of socks. Yarn is ZYG Serenity 20 in Frosted Lilac and Cascade Heritage Silk Peruvian Tones in Elm.
