 Malabrigo’s first Holiday Kit

We are thrilled about the release of Malabrigo's very first Holiday Kit! This fabulous kit features the beautiful Union Cowl, designed by Bobbi IntVeld using Malabrigo Caprino and a new yarn from Blue Sky Fibers, Prairie.

The Union Cowl is the perfect collaboration of two beautiful yarns and companies. Knit with three skeins of luxurious Malabrigo Caprino and one skein of light and airy Blue Sky Fibers Prairie, this cowl is ideal for all seasons.

The combination of Caprino’s Super Fine Merino and Cashmere with Prairie’s Suri Alpaca and Baby Huacaya Alpaca makes this cowl soft and warm with just the right amount of drape.

FOs and WIPs

I don’t know about you, but I have been knitting up smaller projects over the past few weeks. I had ctaract surgery mid-September but only on one eye. They didn't do the other eye until October 1st and so I couldn't see well enough to write my blog/newsletter or make any posts.

I finished the Daisy Cardigan by Pernill Larsen

On September 28th, I had one sleeve finished on my granddaughter's the Daisy Cardigan - Kids by Pernille Larsen.

Two days later, I finished the second sleeve.

The buttons are crocheted following the pattern but with only a strand of Remix Light because with both strands, the button was too large for the button holes. I put a plastic ring in the centre before closing the buttons.

My granddaughter received it in the mail!  It ia obviously a little big!

Pepo Pumpkin Patch pumpkins that I made.

Next, I started knitting up pumpkins using Pepo Pumpkin Patch by Sandra Magalhães. I cast on the first one on October 2nd, when I really couldn't see well and relying on counting and feel. I ave five finished and am working on the sixth.

I used three colours of Estelle Eco Tweed Worsted and cinnamon sticks cut in half for the stems. They smell like autumn!

Kits available HERE. Each kit has enough yarn to make the six I knit. I cast on 72 stitches for one orange (Marigold) pumpkin and 56 for the second. I cast on 72 stitches for one yellow (Gold) pumpkin and have a 64 stitch pumpkin on my needles. I cast on 72 stitches for one and 64 stitches for the other white (Natural) pumpkins.
