Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Issue 361: Lazy Summer Days...Happy Wednesday!

I look forward to fall with the wonderful change in season colours. This year I have not spent nearly as much time on the back patio knitting but as the weather cools, I should take advantage of our remaining outdoor knitting opportunities.

I should be focusing on fall knits but this week I was still looking at summer tees!

Feather Blouse by Yeon Hwa Lee

The Feather Blouse by Yeon Hwa Lee is easy to make, still so feminine and fun to make and the colour possibilities are endless! It has a round yoke. Using slip stitches and a beautiful lace pattern which reminds me of feather, it will make a heavenly, fantastic looking yoke. The double folded neckline is optional and the sleeves have several options too so you are sure to get your unique version which suits you.

Sleeve options are :
Short sleeve with or without ruffles
You can have a normal sleeves which has a smaller cuff. This sleeve is adjustable on length so you can do either 1/2, 3/4 or the long sleeve version.
You can pair it with jeans and skirts, it‘s easy to wear and can be your perfect companion for upcoming spring days, but also using cotton yarn perfect for summer days.

NEEDLES
3.5 mm (US 4) needles for the neck collar and hem
4.0 mm (US 6) needles for everything else
If you want ruffles, you also need 4.5 mm and 5.0 mm needles.

YARN
Silk mohair yarn 420m/50g held double throughout the pattern.

You can adjust the MC yarn with other yarn of your choice, if the gauge fits. But I would recommend to use silk mohair yarn for CC yarn to keep the lacy feeling alive.

I’m on the second round of decreases on the yoke shaping but am a part of the pattern where I am having trouble figuring out the text and video vs the little schematic. I haven't crocheted enough to try and figure it out without concentrating hard.
