Friday, July 23, 2021, Issue 208: Happy Friday!

Are you enjoying your summer so far? I am even though it has been hot, humid and just bit more wet than I like! It definitely makes it easy to sit back, relax and knit, knit, knit or make, make, make!

Berroco is hosting a Berroco Tee Party again this year! Grab a pattern, some yarn and join us in making a tee for the month of August!

They will be hosting weekly LIVE check ins and giveaways over on our Facebook Berroco Makers group but you can also follow along in our Ravelry group and our YouTube channel!

Finish your tee in time to be eligible to win our Grand Prize at the end of the make along! To be considered for the Grand Prize, your tee must use either Berroco Yarns or yarns from our partner brands: Lopi, Lang, WOOLADDICTS or Amano.

If you share your project on social media tag it with #BerrocoTeeParty so we can see it!

What is a party with out gifts!

I did not do the short rows before the hem. I knit thee body until I had 13" from the underarm. For the hem, I purled one round, knit one round, purled one round and the bound off purl-wise (2 purl ridges). My sister worked 3 purl ridges on hers.

For my sleeves, I picked 3 instead of 1 on either side of the placed marker. On the next row, I worked a decrease round, then knit one round, then worked another decrease round. I knit 8 rounds even, then worked a decrease round. I worked two more decreeasse roounds on the 7th round and then worked 9 rounds of 1x1 rib before binding off.

Finished size:
40" chest
44" hip
13.75" from underarm to hem
4.25" from underarm to sleeve hem

Clicking on the link will take you to our Zoom meeting.

Join our Cloud HD Video Meeting

Meeting ID: 407820804

We will start back with our in-store Knit Afternoons and Knit Nights at the same times. Weather permitting, we will hold our Thursday Knit Nights out back!

CLASSES

Since we are open again and can think about classes, I need your help and input please! We had classes that started just before the pandemic and they were all refunded. I know some of you went on too knit those projects already on your own while others may not have and are waiting. Do I re-schedule the same cancelled classes or schedule new classes? What classes are you looking for?

Jen and Paulette, I think will be available starting in August but Kathy will not be available until October. Scheduling takes a lot of thought, especially timing, so please, please send me your thoughts and ideas!

I have a customer who has Brother Knitting Machine KH 910 with all of its parts, tools, instructions, and patterns. Made in Japan. If you are interested, please let me know. She wants to give it away instead of throwing it away. Serious enquiries only for someone who will use it.

NOTE: It is all boxed up so she does not have any photos.

Happy Friday, Happy Knitting, Crocheting and Crafting! Keep calm and keep on knitting and making!
