My apologies to anyone who stopped by the shop earlier this week to find me closed. I ended up in the hospital but am now back home, however, I am still not able to sit or stand too long so this week, my blog / newsletter is shorter than usual!

My Friendship Shawl by KnitSisu for the Malabrigo Dos Tierras KAL 2024 is finished!

I shouldn't say this but I didn’t swatch. I am a loose knitter and usually go down a needle size. Instead of the recommended needle size, I used 3.75 mm needles.

I used almost every bit of C1 and most of C3 so if my gauge had been any bigger, I might have run out! I love how it turned out and how easy it is to wear!

Last Saturday, our First Top Down Pullover Class started and of course, I cast on another Turtle Dove II which is the pattern we used for the class.

We haven't had much of a winter this year and although this morning is grey, I expect most of you are ready for spring and warm weather knits!

Are you ready to put away that winter coat of yours and just wear a shawl?

Paulette (@psknitting50) knit this beautiful and huge Hellik by Stephen West all out of her hand spun!

The first one that Paulette knit was the small size. This one is the large size which she says that she loves because she can throw one end over her shoulder and it will stay put.

Jean (jean91) is wearing her Yellow Brick Rodeo by Mary Annarella. It is the second one she has knit and modified to have long sleeves.

Leslie (lcritch) finished this A Day to Remember by Joji Locatelli using 2 skeins of Malabrigo Sock in 35 Franc Ochre (which is out of stock).

Leslie (lcritch) who is known to knit in multiples also finished a second A Day to Remember by Joji Locatelli using 2 skeins of Malabrigo Sock in 353 Tin Soldier.

Sandi (sandima) test knit this Secretary Hat by Joan Rowe during our knitting retreat using the Berroco Vintage left over from her Trepassey by Jennifer Beale and some new.

Sandi (sandima) knit 3 Bunny Tail Beanie by Ekaterina Filippova-Blanchard. The 2 single colour beanies are knit in the round. The 2 colour version is knit flat. The pattern has an introductory discount of 20% until March 11, 2024 (midnight, Central time). No code needed.

Anna (@kollar.annie) knit this Linden Button Up by Noriko Ho for her daughter.

Beverley finished another pair of sock using Zen Yarn Garden Serenity 20 in French Vanilla and Bumblebee. Pattern is Roman Rib Stitch Toe-Up Socks by Brenda Zuk.

Jan (mrsjanknits) knit this pair of Hermione's Everyday Socks using Lang Super Soxx in Forest Green for husband’s birthday gift.

Last Sunday, we had our latest Rigid Heddle Weaving Class.

This is Donna (Donna765)’s finished Orchid Blossom scarf from Berroco that she wove in class.
