It is officially summer and we are really feeling it even when it is wet out. I can't say that I ever put my needles down...I knit and make year round and I hope you do too!

I can never get enough summer tops knit fast enough to wear!

 

Summer tops are a must for us knitters, here’s Lace Market by Marie Greene. Suggested yarn - Schoppel Wolle El Linio

Here is the completed frog in his ribbed pants and jacket. I used leftover Bergere de France Ideal in Lievre stash yarn for the pants and Berroco Ultra Alpaca Fine in Tiger's Eye Mix stash yarn held double for the jacket.

Here is the completed toad in his striped bathing suit knit using Regia 6 Ply Tweed yarn stash in Natur and Berroco Vintage in Olive. The 6 Ply Tweed was also used for the eyes. I used Regia 6 Ply Tweed stash yarn in Anthracite for the embroidered mouth and pupils.

The newest Knit-Alongs are the Any Sweater / Shawl KAL and the Knit Any Project: the everlasting knit-along to encourage and support you to knit is running from May 1 to August 31, 2021. I will get a thread started soon!

Zoom Night

 

Virtual social knitting using the Zoom app! It has been a great way to knit together through social distancing! If you missed my post on social media awhile back…we are back and open for in-store shopping!

Since Friday, June 11th (Phase 1) you can come in, touch, look and browse as long as you wear a mask and stay 2m away from each other. Curbside pick up will still be available for anyone still not comfortable with coming in as well as shipping.

There is of course, a lot to see at the shop! There is a ton of yarn, kits and accessories and is well stocked. Thank you so much for supporting us during the pandemic.

We still want to be cautious so for everyone's safety, I hope you will follow these guidelines.

 - There will be a maximum of 3 clients allowed inside

 - Masks are mandatory. If you are unable to wear a mask, please order online

 - Sanitize your hands upon entry

 - The time limit will be 15 minutes if there are people waiting

Keep in mind that according to Ontario law, if you are exposed to someone who tests positive for COVID, you have to quarantine in your home for 14 days, even if your tests come back negative.

Classes will resume when 10 people are allowed in the shop at once.
