Wednesday, December 27, 2023, Issue 327: Happy Wednesday....What is on your needles?

It doesn't seem possible but another year is drawing to a close! With the weather being so grey, wet and foggy over this holiday season, I hope you were all able to slow down, reflect and enjoy time with your family and friends.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with friends and family! Rarely can all of my family be together at the same time but here’s our 2023 group photo with a lot of us!

My sister Mary (maryc1981) finished her Drawing Sweater last month. She used De Rerum Natura Ullysse which she didn't purchase from me as her main colour. For her contrast, she used Garnstudio Drops Kid Silk held double with Manos del Uruguay Fino.

This is not the first sweater design that my sister has knit by Tomomi Yoshimoto.

My sister’s sister-in-law tried it on and wanted one too! Instead of buying new yarn, she frogged the Sandoval by This.Bird.Knits.

This year, her sister-in-law tried it on and wanted one too! Instead of buying new yarn, Mary frogged the  Sandoval by This.Bird.Knits that she had knit but didn't like the fit of. Veronica looks wonderful in Mary's Time_Sweater 2 that she knit using Stolen Stitches Nua Worsted in Late Night Blues and Rolling Bales.

I finished my Secret Garden Sweater in Christmas Eve!

I finished my Secret Garden Sweater by Elena Mortensen on Christmas Eve! I wanted to be able to wear it for our family Christmas get together so I have only steam blocked it so far. I love it!

I used the yarn specified in the pattern, Regia Premium Alpaca Soft and Regia Premium Merino Yak.

This is the photo I took after I finished weaving in the ends.

My Growing by Lone Kjeldsen is finally moving along again!

My Growing by Lone Kjeldsen is finally moving along again! I knit 56 rows for the body and the depth for the pockets and 12 rows after the pocket so far. I need to try it on again for length to decide how many more rows to knit before the final 18 rows of ribbing.
