Relaxing outside with your knitting is one of my favorite things to do...especially if there is a bit a breeze to go with a gorgeous sunny day! Knitting with friends is even better! Here's Linda in her On the Spice Market Shawl by Melanie Berg.
I just love summer tops - to knit and to wear!
Ombre Tank Redux by Espace Tricot is simple summer knit that works up quickly with lace-weight linen held double and it perfect for hot summer days. It has a flattering A-line shape and minimal finishing making this easy to knit and easy to wear. Knit it with 3 colors where the colors are alternated to create ombre stripes. It is knit in the round up to the underarms while the armholes, front and back necklines are knit flat. This would knit up perfectly with Shibui Reed using 4.0 mm (US 6) needles for a gauge of 21 stitches and 27 rows = 4 inches in stockinette.
Kim Drotar's Mercury Socks is a simple lace sock knit cuff down with a gusset heel. There are four size options so everybody should be able to find the right fit! This pair was knit by TheLeaningLarch with SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in their Grapefruit colorway. One skein of 325 - 425 yards in fingering / sock weight yarn and needles to give you a gauge of 10 stitches and 15 rows = 1 inch.
WIP's and FO's
My Sunshine Coast by Heidi Kirrmaier work in prrogress has moved steadily ahead...Just finished the first skein of yarn! I am knitting mine with Berroco Remix Light in Birch. I am liking the rustic, slubbiness of the yarn and can't wait until I finish it and can wear it!
I had two of my grandsons from Friday until Sunday evening last weekend...Definitely not a lot of knitting!
