May has arrived, and while spring hasn't been very warm along with lots of rain and wind, we can still see the flowers starting to bloom and the trees that are budding and flowering!
As usual, there are a few new patterns on Ravelry! Tanis Lavallee has a new pattern out…the Flip Side Tee combining two of her all time favourite things: a knitted tee and STRIPES! Of course this simple crew neck tee looks just as fabulous in a solid, but if you present me with a panel of stockinette stitch I will be compelled to add stripes! It’s just in my nature. Featuring a lovely a graphic eyelet detail that flows gracefully from the raglans down the sides of the garment this simple tee is my new summer staple.
The Flip Side Tee is knit top down in the round.
Use the coupon code FLIPPINGOUT for 20% off the Flip Side Tee pattern until Sunday, May 7th at midnight ET on Ravelry!

The Cumulus Tee by PetiteKnit is worked in stockinette stitch and has a rounded V-neck in the front. The sleeves are elbow length, and all edges are finished in i-cord. The Cumulus Tee requires no finishing work at the end. It is knit using a fingering weight yarn with a gauge of 28 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in stockinette stitch on 3 mm (US2.5) needles after blocking. 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles are used for the ribbing.
The Cumulus Blouse also by PetiteKnit is very similar but is knit holding two strands of thin mohair/silk yarn together. It is designed to have approx. 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) of positive ease. Measure yourself at your widest upper body part using a measuring tape to determine which size to knit. Example: If you measure 93 cm (36½ inches)) you should knit a size M.
The gauge is 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in stockinette stitch on 4.5 mm (US7) needles after blocking.
mamiganchillo's Cumulus Blouse is knit using one strand of Garnstudio Drops Kid Silk and one strand of Malabrigo Silkpaca!
WIPs
It is hard to take good progress photos with projects that are knit bottom up or ones that start slowly like this Bogota by Le Styling Knitting. I have separated the sleeves from the body but with 384 stitches in stockinette, it is TV knitting at its best but slowly but surely!
I have knit about 4 inches knit of the 5.8 inches of stockinette before starting the lace. I will try it on again soon to see if 5 inches is all I will need instead of 5.8.

I knit my swatch and have 9 rows of the twisted rib knit for the Serkinet that I am knitting for my Kate Davies KAL.
I am using Tukuwool DK. My gauge is 22 stitches x 34 rows instead of 30 rows using 3.0 mm needles. I will need to add more rows to get length.
