It is sweater weather but it is also not too early to start your gift knitting! Can you believe that there are only ten more weeks until Christmas? Linda wanted to get started on her Christmas gifts and here she is wearing one of them!

Close to You by Justyna Lorkowska is a simple but stylish shawl is knitted from one end with gradual increases to form a triangular shawl which is fun to knit and easy to wear. The zigzag border with eyelets gives it a nice touch and makes the knitting interesting. It is designed to be knit using one skein (or more, it’s easy to adjust) of any gorgeous handpainted yarn to make a shawlette for someone who’s close to you too!

ranmoray on Ravelry’s Close to You is a large version using 3 skeins of Malabrigo Arroyo. She started with her darkest colour and ended with her lightest!

Knit from the cuff down, these socks are as addictive as French pastries! The color and stitch changes will make you want to knit just a little more to get to the next section. Ambah O’Brien will once again be hosting the Ambah X Advent KAL 2020! This year you can choose between all of Ambah’s Advent patterns to knit up! The cast on date is December 1, 2020. My Ashes by Joji Locatelli WIP for the #jojifallkal2020 is growing! I am really enjoying knitting with these two yarns! I will continue knitting this half of the wrap until I have 50g left of my Lichen and Lace 80/20 Sock Yarn so that I will have enough for the other half of the wrap.

I cast on another WIP on Wednesday too...Koivua by Caitlin Hunter! I am knitting mine with The Fibre Co. Arranmore Light in St Claire and Schoppel Wolle Zauberball Starke 6. I am using Sport/DK weight yarns and not worsted weight because being a loose knitter, I know that I will not be able to get gauge easily. I got gauge with 3.25 mm needles and like the fabric I am getting.

KNIT GROUP AND GALLERY

Linda knit a shawl for each of her 4 sisters using Close to you by Justyna Lorkowska. The first one she knit using Malabrigo Arroyo in Jupiter.

Linda’s second Close to You Shawl is knit using Ancient Arts Passion 8 in Antique. The third shawl is shown above!

Linda’s last Close to You shawl was knit with Malabrigo Mechita in Moon Trio Full.

Nancy finished her newest Covid-19 sweater! I am not sure what pattern or yarn that she used.

Brandi (@thegreenbuttonjar)'s mom looks wonderful in Andrea Mowry’s So Faded Sweater. Yarn is her own hand dyed 80/20 Sock held double with mohair/silk in Pansy!

Connie (maltesecross) finished knitting Easterly by Laura Aylor, originally for herself but gifted to her daughter who loves it!

Angela finished this Turtle Dove II using Garnstudio Drops Air in Fog for her sister!

Mirna designed and knit her dog Izzie this awesome sweater for winter using leftover wool, a slip stitch pattern on the top panel and 2 extensions on the sides!

Sandi (sandima) was sent the photo of these crocheted puppets at the top left to make! She doesn't crochet but she has finished all four “knit” puppets and gifted them last weekend!

Sandi (sandima) finished this sweet ABC Book test knit! Wouldn't this be a cool baby shower gift?

Connie (knitnut246) finished and is blocking her Fading Point by Joji Locatelli!

Marie (thecatsmom) finished this pair of Felicity Ward’s Sail Away Socks.

Sonia (@soniabknits) says there are never enough socks! These are her latest finished pair!

Nikki’s Find Your Fade Shawl by Andrea Mowry is stunning! Yarn includes Hedgehog Fibres Sock in Velvet and Monet!
